Asher Turney is a local Alabama resident and graduate of Sparkman High School. He graduate of Fisk University and received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College. He finished his internship at Harvard Medical at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed three years in neurosurgery and then he completed a masters of business administration from Emory Goizueta Business School. He is currently part of Meharry Medical College's Occupational and Preventive Medicine Department. He is currently is in the pubic health program in the School of Graduate Studies set to receive a master in public health in 2011. He is dedicated to improving health disparities and learning to live free, happy and healthy.
